Ideas for Beginner, Casual and Avid Stampers

Hola and welcome to my blog!

Today I am „blog-Hopping“ with the „Stampin‘ Dreams'“ designers and the challenge we have is to present you three different card-ideas each for one different type of stamper. I am looking forward to see all the wonderful ideas on the hop !

So, here is my interpretation of each type of stamper and some projects each of them could do, Which one do you relate with?

1 – Beginners:
I think this type of stamper creates sporadically and only uses the basic tools for paper crafting (Paper trimmer, white card stock, 2–3 favorite ink colors (either markers or ink pads) and adhesive.  This was me at the very beginning, when I just wanted to create some personalized Christmas greetings for my friends. And it is still me when I get behind and have to do some projects on the go   😀

This card would be one this type of stamper could easily do:

I used one „Narrow Note Card“ (which comes with corresponding envelopes), two stamp sets („Hey Love“ for the lovely creature and „Well Said“ – which has the perfect set of sentiments for almost all occasions- ) and markers to color the image. A simple design with minimum materials and time required.

2- Casual Stampers:
This type of stamper spends a little bit more time creating personalized greetings for friends and family on special occasions. They will probably have some paper punches, more ink pads and colored card stock to chose from and designer paper to add that little „extra“ to jazz up their creations.

I think they could easily reproduce this project:

This is what I used to make this card:

– White thick card stock 14,85cm x 21cm folded in half ( by 10,5cm)
– Designer Paper cut at 5cm x 14,85cm
– Stamped the butterflies from the „Butterfly Gala Stamp-set“ with „Powder Pink“ ink
– Stamped and punched the little butterfly as embellishment with the „Butterfly Duet Punch„: I used „Highland Heather“ ink for coloring it.
– Stamp the sentiment from the set „Piece of Cake
– Punch out the sentiment with the „Classic label punch
– I also punched a strip of „Mango Melody“ card stock with the „Classic label punch“ to add some contrast.

3 – Avid Stampers:
I think an avid stamper spends much more time being creative and experimenting with new techniques and color combinations. At least, I know I like to try new things even if they not always workout. 🙂 .We (the avid stampers) are more willing to invest more and get advanced tools.. well, normally we like to „have it all“

For this project I created my own designer paper using the wonderful flowers of the „Beauty Abounds“ stamp set. I love this set! Has beautiful sentiments and decorative elements you can always use.

I also created my own embellishments using the BigShot: the smallest greenery on vellum paper are from the „Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies“, the butterfly is from the „Butterfly Beauty Thinlits“ and the frame is made with the „Stitched Shapes Framelits“. The „Happy Birthday“ was also die-cuted with the „Well Written“ framelits… I am soo glad Stampin‘ Up! has those now also in German… I had to add both of them to my collection. :)))

Ok, I hope you liked my ideas and that you come back to see more either here or over on my Instagram /  Facebook account where I post daily.
